In UK, US stocks open at 2:30pm and close at 9pm UK time. That holds until Fri 23 October 2026.
From Mon 26 October 2026: 1:30pm to 8pm UK time, because the clocks change.
The New York Stock Exchange's regular session, 09:30–16:00 New York time, runs 2:30pm to 9pm UK time in UK until 23 October 2026, according to TradingLookup's Market Clock (October 2026).

Daylight saving: why the US time moves in the UK
- New York's clocks go back an hour on Sunday 1 November 2026.
- New York's clocks go forward an hour on Sunday 14 March 2027.
- The UK's clocks go back an hour on Sunday 25 October 2026, on a different date from New York's.
- The UK's clocks go forward an hour on Sunday 28 March 2027, on a different date from New York's.
Because the two changes fall on different dates, there's a short spell from Monday 26 October 2026 to Friday 30 October 2026 when the US opens at 1:30pm UK time, before going back to 2:30pm.
The LSE and the US session
We hold the London Stock Exchange's holiday dates and early closes from its own pages, but not its trading hours yet, so this page doesn't put the two sessions side by side. The LSE's next early closes: Thu 24 December at 12:30 UK time; Thu 31 December at 12:30 UK time.

US market hours and your working day in the UK
On an 08:00–17:00 UK time working day (our convention, not a rule), until 23 October the US session overlaps it from 14:30 to 17:00 (2 hours 30 minutes); from 26 October the US session overlaps it from 13:30 to 17:00 (3 hours 30 minutes).
Forex trading time in the UK (UK time)
Forex trades over the counter from Monday morning in Asia to Friday evening in New York, with no official sessions. We use each centre's 08:00–17:00 local business day as its "session" (a convention, not a rule).
