The same days under all three types
| Drawdown type | Result | Max-loss line now | Room left |
|---|---|---|---|
| Static | Still alive after 8 days | $48,000 | $3,400 |
| End-of-day trailing (yours) | Still alive after 8 days | $49,850 | $1,550 |
| Intraday trailing | Breached on day 6 | $50,100 | −$50 at the low |
Worked example: the same 8 days, three drawdown types
- StaticThe line never moves.
- End-of-day trailingThe line follows your best closing balance.
- Intraday trailingIt also follows open profit, even profit you never bank.
- Account$50,000
- Max loss$2,000
- Lock (Lucid Trading)$50,100
- 8 days, net+$1,400
Intraday trailingBreached day 6Low $50,050 fell below the $50,100 line. The day closed at $51,350.
- Without the lock: the same breach
- Lucid Trading’s LucidFlex is end-of-day: alive on these days
The lock, in the firm’s words (measured). An End-of-Day Drawdown
that locks at the initial balance plus $100

How it works
- Staticline = starting balance − max loss, for the life of the account.
- End-of-day trailingline = highest close balance so far − max loss.
- Intraday trailingthe same, but each day’s peak (open profit) also lifts the highest balance.
- Lockline capped at start + lock amount (0 = the start). There it stops trailing.
When the account is lost
- The line never fallsA losing day leaves it where it was.
- BreachThe day’s worst equity touches or goes below the line. No low entered: the lower of open and close.
- Worst-case orderFor intraday trailing we assume the peak came before the low.
Limits. Firms differ: balance or equity, evaluation-only trailing, payout resets, separate daily limits (not modelled). A missing peak is taken as the higher of open and close. Check your firm’s rule page.
Measured and judged. Firm presets are the firm’s own words (measured, dated, linked). Every balance, line and room figure is our arithmetic (judged). The example days are made up.
